We have been running the Technics active speakers for a few months now and are constantly impressed at what they offer. As a simple upgrade to your TV sound you can connect them with an HDMI cable and control them from your TV remote. For a fuss free hi-fi system all you need to do is stream from your device, a discreet good looking hifi that puts out a good level of volume but also reveals the music at low level listening. You can connect up a turntable – we pair our speakers with the Technics SL-1500C  – and you have a full hi-fi without all of the boxes. The Technics SC-CX700 speakers are now in store and what a great speaker they are. The speakers are easy to set up and in the simplest form you can just plug both units into the wall and then connect them to your wi-fi. Our set took a few minutes to upgrade to the latest firmware and then we were playing music. Qobuz and Tidal both work within the Technics app and you can Spotify Connect to them. We use Roon in store and the speakers work perfectly with that.

The Technics Audio Center app further enhances operability of the SC-CX700. The app comes with four major functions: SOURCE, FAVORITE, ROOM, and SETTINGS. Switching playback content and device settings can be done intuitively.
