About The Sound Counsel

The Sound Counsel was launched in July 2019 by Nick Wearmouth and in early 2020 he was joined by his business partner Daniel Bland. With a showroom in Edinburgh The Sound Counsel specialises in delivering performance at every level with the best of customer service. 

Nick has been successfully specifying and installing high quality audio systems across the U.K. since 2006 and has acquired a vast and specialist knowledge across the spectrum of Hi-Fi and Home Cinema. With a passion for good sound be it stereo, multi-channel or fully immersive Nick doesn’t favour music over movie playback just good performance. 

Dan has been involved in many aspects of audio and video delivery for the last twenty years. Since 2008 he has been in focused on high performing home cinema, large project management and acoustics. The Sound Counsel is focused on complete system performance while obtaining the best possible overall experience from any investment. Working from retail premises in Edinburgh The Sound Counsel can help with a small hi-fi or multi-room system through to the very best in Hi-Fi and Home Cinema. From a simple retail transaction to full project management.

Both Dan and Nick have direct experience of a huge array of products, not just limited to the brands currently on sale. The Sound Counsel offers specialist advice in both Hi-Fi and Home Cinema across Edinburgh, Scotland the UK & every so often Europe.
